Outdoors:
With more than four acres at our studio, we have several different outdoor ‘looks’ available without having to leave the studio.

The studio building was originally the home of Dr. Gillespie, an ophthalmologist, and was constructed in 1940 just before world war II. Doctor and Mrs. Gillespie spared no expense during construction and used brick for the exterior and a wood shingle roof. Red oak floors reside throughout both upper floors with Philippine mahogany trim. Other featured amenities include pocket doors, laundry shoots, circular staircase, canning room, pantry, mud room, and a full basement. In later years, Pat Harder tastefully remodeled including the now famous “are those real leaves on the wall?” wallpaper as you first enter the studio.
Residing on a five acre rural layout complete with a two room horse barn, the studio has been home to numerous horses, rabbits, squirrels, dogs, cats, and more recently even mules and a couple of raccoons. If you’re a horse person, we have lots of space at the studio if you should desire images with your pet(s) and still achieve a rural look and feel.
In 2005 we expanded our parking area and updated the flagstone front walk and steps to make us more ‘disabled’ friendly and updated much of the front landscaping.
2008 found us enlarging the studio to 4600 square feet, complete with an expanded camera-room with new wood floors, a ‘high key’ sweep, background roller system, and a beautiful ‘north light’ setting highly desirable in portrait studios around the country. The master bedroom was subdivided into two dressing rooms and a waiting area and some new storage closets. From the parking area all the way to the dressing rooms, we are completely ADA compliant and honored to have had the opportunity to photograph several disabled clients.
